We are aware that childhood obesity is an alarming epidemic in the US, especially in Arkansas. Our foundation hosts and supports several anti-obesity programs throughout the year. These programs revolve around educating people on proper nutrition and physical education for school-aged children.
The Health and Wellness Expo is the marquee event of our foundation and has been around for a number of years. This event promotes a sense of community and spirited teamwork through partnerships. Also, the Health and Wellness Expo involves health screening, services, and education.
One of our signature programs, Bikes for Kids promotes physical activity among young children. We give out hundreds of bikes and helmets every year to promote this endeavor.
It is our tradition to work closely with the Arkansas Department of Health during the Christmas season. We ensure that several teens in foster care feel the spirit of the holidays by receiving gifts.
